Rental Accommodation
Once you're settled in Queenstown finding your own room can be a big priority. Share houses and flats will be the best and most affordable way to find your own bit of space as starting your own lease can be a very expensive alternative. The average bedroom will range from around 0 to 0 per room, expect to pay around 0 for twin/couple. You will also have to contribute to phone and power (beware of the heater, power bills are notoriously expensive in the Queenstown winter months).
The best places to start are the local papers, "The Mountain Scene" and "The Mirror" which come out every Thursday and Wednesday respectively. There are several notice-boards around town as well (try Fresh Choice, Subway, O'Connells Food Court and your hostel).
If you're determined to do it on your own then there are several property management companies in town who can help, once again, the links below can help. www.qac.co.nz www.queenstown-nz.co.nz

Winter Season
Queenstown's winter ski season is from early June - early October. During the months of May & June it can be very difficult to find work in town so if you plan to arrive at this time make sure you are prepared for this possibility. We start to have a good level of work again at the start of July.
Once the winter kicks in, Queenstown is a fantastic place to be - for the best deals in town on ski/snowboard rental gear visit www.greentoad.co.nz.
Summer Season
Queenstown's summer season is from December - end April. We always have an abundance of work at this time and Queenstown is often crying out for workers. There is always a lot of hospitality and labouring temp work available and keep an eye on our website Job Board for any permanent opportunities.
